Summary:
WVU CPRC is recruiting healthy males and females between the ages of 21-45 who are nonsmoking/non tobacco users. Potential participants must have a moderate alcohol consumption of (1) 12 oz beer, 4 oz glass of wine, or 1.5 oz of 80 proof alcohol per day and a BMI between 23-35. The study will have 4 periods in the month of June checking in on a Friday and checking out on Sunday evening with at least 3 returns on Monday and Tuesday for each period. Details:
This is a fasting alcohol study with 4 periods (weekends) occurring June 5th-June 7th, June 12th-June 14th, June 19th- June 21st , and June 26th-June 28th . This study will also require an additional screening day of May 27th or May 31st, more information regarding this second screening appointment and specific times will be provided to you at your first screening appointment. Study Check-in will occur on June 5th, June 12th, June 19th, and June 26th with females checking in at 4:30PM and males at 5:00PM. Clinic checkout will occur the evenings of June 7th, June 14th, June 21st, and June 28th. There will be 3 returns in each of the 4 periods. Return visits will occur the mornings and evenings of June 8th, June 15th, June 22nd, and June 29th. Returns will also occur the morning of June 9th, June 16th, June 23rd, and June 30th.
